The LED illumination activates for visual orientation. The safety connector plug (230 V), standardized world-wide, can now be engaged, and is then automatically and electrically locked. This secures the charging process, i.e., unauthorized removal or disruption of the charging process is prevented. After renewed authorization, the plug locking mechanism is released, and the connector can be removed. This technology can be used in a multitude of internationally customary safety connector plugs, particularly in motor vehicles, but also all other electrical equipment that is operated  and charged in public or semi-public areas.
